I write this letter with an urgency on my heart. We live in such a crazy world. We’re so busy running on our own hamster wheels we don’t always see our neighbor has fallen off of theirs. And worse, sometimes if we do, we keep going anyway for fear of falling off of our own. I get it. But for now I’m stepping off my wheel to grab my neighbors’ hand, and help them up. There’s nothing more important.
This is my hope for this letter- that I reach at least ONE soul in need. One page view of someone who God lead here to see this:
My friend wherever you are, pull down the cover just a little bit. Look out from the dark. Turn on a light you can tolerate. Maybe a candle, or a nightlight. Or maybe you smoke and you need “a light”. Okay.
I’m not hear to tell you “God Loves You”, you’ve heard it before. You maybe don’t believe it, or you don’t feel it right now. Right now you feel like life’s struggles are insurmountable, and everything is getting worse. The pain is unbearable.
Oh how I get it.
But, if you’re still with me, ponder this, how did you get to this very post? Was it by chance? Was it an accident?
Here’s what I think. I believe god lead you here. Because he wanted to tell you this:
” For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
Dear friend, I’ve made it through some very dark days myself. Days I didn’t think life was even worth it anymore. Days I could barely muster up the energy to go through the motions for one more exhausting minute. I am here to tell you this, I get it. But, please wait- there is so much more.
If you landed here, and you’re in a dark place, just pull the covers down a little bit. Maybe sit up on the side of the bed ( you might get a little dizzy if you’ve been laying down awhile, that happens) and get a light you can tolerate. If you can, write this verse down, and never let it go. ” For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11) and then think about just one more day….and seek support.
Would you consider this? : Jesus taught us that death and despair are the work of Satan. He is a “thief who comes only to steal and kill and destroy.” (John 10:10). Please don’t believe the lies Satan tells you about yourself. He is a “liar” and the “father of lies” (John 8:44).
