Shout out to all the mommas out there tonight who should be sleeping, but instead are burning the midnight oil, trying to catch up, and trying to steal a moment alone. I’m with you.

Or maybe something much bigger has you wide eyed tonight. You are, worried, or anxious, or heartbroken. I’m there too tonight.

When we let dark thoughts take a strangle hold, it’s impossible to see God’s light.

When you can’t rest, God’s Got This!

A few Bible verses that get through nights like this are from:

Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are troubled and weighted down with care, and I will give you rest.” *See? God’s Got This!

Psalm 55:22 “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. ” *He won’t let you be shaken, He’s got this!

Psalm 91:4 “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” *He is covering and protecting you, God’s Got This.

Jeremiah 29:11β€œFor I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, β€œplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” *He’s got big plans for you! He’s totally got this.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”*God knows the whole picture, and he knows our future. God’s Got This.

When you can’t rest, tell God your troubles, and let them go, trusting in his ultimate will. When we let it go and put it in god’s hands, we can rest  in that we did all we could humanly do, and now it is in the hands of our loving heavenly father. We gave it to him. The ball is in his court to decide which way to use it in our lives that he knows is best for us.

Still having trouble letting it go for tonight? Try writing it out.

Start your letter “Dear God”, and pour it out. Let him know your fears, worries, hurts, whatever it may be.  By doing this, you are getting things out in a concrete way. This is really helpful for some. Knowing it is out and on paper, it doesn’t need to be held in your mind anymore.

Tonight I encourage you my dear friend in Christ, to think about what some of these verses or techniques might mean for your situation, and, give them a try. Then, hit that pillow, and rest in the comfort of knowing that God’s Got This.
